My birthday is coming up; someone please get me a ticket to see Björk + Dirty Projectors benefit performance at Housing Works in NYC on May 8th! Tickets, unfortunately, are $100-400 each, but I can guarantee that the show is going to be a singular experience. I'll take the standing room (as they are the cheapest tix) if I can somehow manage to find the money for this event... or if someone is excessively generous.
Additional show information: "In a never before seen or heard collaboration with The Dirty Projectors, Björk will perform a suite of new music composed for her by David Longstreth of The Dirty Projectors. The suite, written for five voices, will pair Björk with the Projectors (Dave Longstreth, Amber Coffman, Angel Deradoorian, and Haley Dekle).
In 2008, the Dirty Projectors covered Björk’s "Hyperballad" for a Stereogum tribute CD, a track-by-track covers project that also includes Liars, No Age, High Places, and members of Grizzly Bear, among others. Housing Works Board Member and Stereogum Senior Writer Brandon Stosuy, who knew of Björk and David Longstreth’s admiration for each other’s work, approached the artists about performing together at Housing Works. It is their first collaboration.
With two opening acts selected by Bjork and The Dirty Projectors: Ólöf Arnalds and Kurt Weisman."

I am selling a few things. Please let me know if you're interested.

Everything is in great shape, meaning there are no scuffs or scratches on the discs. I do not have a price in mind for Me and You and Everyone We Know, so make an offer. However, I think $15 each (shipping included) for the Weeds seasons sounds fair.
Thanks!

I need to go to bed, but I just want to mention that Mary Timony is playing at Fort Reno Park again this year on Thursday, July 12. It's early for her, since the last two years she played in August (I think). I hope I can go. Or maybe I should say: I hope I can pay for the gas to go, because I don't yet have a job. Here's the link for more Fort Reno info if you live in or near Washington, DC. All of the concerts are free, so I encourage you to go to see Mary T! (purposely rhymed)

Can anyone fill me in with DVD Aficionado? What exactly is going on over there?
I visited yesterday night and found that the site didn't exist; I was redirected to Film-Talk. More troubling is the fact that my entire collection of movies is gone. Somebody screwed up on that one.

Since this is the first entry of a new journal, I am not going to write much of anything. I would like you to tell me what's on your mind. Tell me an interesting fact, story, or trivia. Whatever you'd like to share, I'd like to read it. Thank you.
