I made two fanvids of Cronenberg films and I figured the members of this community would be interested in seeing them.

Discussion: What do you look for in potential platonic friends? What keeps them around, for you? What positive effect do you yourself seem to have on a group of peers?
I've never done this before, we'll see how many people comment.

| Leonid M. Zhest' - Black Box [2010] |
[14 Mar 2010|02:42pm] |

Cat.# ... DNA 80 Release Date ... 10.03.2010 Genre ... Ambient, Electronica Type ... FLAC Lossless / mp3 CBR 320 kbps Size ... 135Mb / 86Mb
After more than year russian ambient project Leonid M. Zhest' is back with the new work called "Black Box". As a first release "KaYa", "Black Box" is saturated with deathly atmosphere of synthetic world. Album cold and lifelessness are underlined with soft and flexible analogue sound. A little bit of minimalism in "Brain Waves" looks like evidence of world's synthetic nature. It disappears later but leaves strange metallic aftertaste and vibrating silence in the ears. No doubt, "Black Box" is the present for industrial cynics and dark sci-fi lovers. Artworks by Leonid M. Zhest'.

| J.A. Seazer |
[12 Mar 2010|12:51pm] |
A friend of mine put this YouTube link of J.A. Seazer up on Facebook the other day. I wanted to share it, and find a little more info about him to post here, and happened to find that Mutant Sounds uploaded seven of his LPs back in 2007 (the Rapidshare links still work). The above song is from his soundtrack to the 1974 film "Denen Ni Shisu" - AKA 田園に死す or Death in the Countryside / To Die in the Countryside. Great buildup to an intense ending in this song. You can watch a trailer to the very bizarre Denen Ni Shisu here.

Info from Last.fm:
J. A. Seazer (Julious Arnest Cesar / born 寺原 孝明 Terahara Takaaki, 6 October 1948) is a film music composer. Seazer enjoyed popularity among students in Japan during the 1960s, and worked closely with director Shuji Terayama until Terayama’s death. He is a member of the theatrical company Ban’yū Inryoku (full Japanese name 演劇実験室◎万有引力 Engeki-Jikkenshitsu Ban’yū Inryoku, means “Experimental laboratory of Theatre◎Universal Gravitation). He gained notoriety closer to the mainstream by composing the soundtrack for the anime Revolutionary Girl Utena, and has also composed the score to the animated film adaptation of Suehiro Maruo’s manga Mr. Arashi’s Amazing Freak Show (aka Midori / Shojo-tsubaki).

Just a silly thing I did in MS Paint that somehow took me THREE HOURS. Mild spoilers at worst, TOTALLY AWESOME(?)!
How case 4 of AAI should have ended.
I was thinking of making it my wallpaper on my computer at work, but I don't want to admit to anyone but you guys (and my boyfriend, who watched me do it) how much time I actually spent on this.
